7 tips to quit Alcohol :-


Start With a Plan -

Every success person has a plan and you need a plan too. Sit down and research your options before you begin. You will need to look for a strategy that can work for you, when you are working on a plan make sure you ask few questions to yourself. What will you do when you feel the urge to drink? Who will you call if you need support? And you will also need to work for a back-up incase your previous strategy has no effect.

The whole process of planning is to know why you are here and how much do you know yourself. the better you understand yourself, and the more you prepare, the stronger you’ll be when the going gets rough.

Build a Strong Support Team -

You can achieve a bigger milestone if you have a strong team besides you. Quitting alcohol can be easy with friends, allies, coaches, or all of the above. Groups like Alcoholics Anonymous. You can also choose to take discipline classes to overcome your need for alcohol. Simply telling friends and relatives what you’re doing and asking for their support can make a big difference.


Consider Medication as an Option -

Medication can be one of the most effective way to stop drinking. There are three medications that are approved by the FDA to treat alcoholism: naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram.

There are several other prescribed drugs like  gabapentin, baclofen, and topiramate which can help you overcome your physical addiction to alcohol and can make the psychological battle much easier.

Find New Activities to Replace Alcohol -

Fill your schedule with things to do instead of drinking, and watch as they eventually take the place of alcohol in your life. You can consider hitting Gym or even can practice yoga which can help you overcome your stress and eventually lead to overcome your need for alcohol.

Make sure you write down your goal and read that everyday to stay motivated and remember why you started this. This can feel difficult at first. But as positive changes accumulate, it will become easier.  You will soon start to see a  healthy life.

Talk to Your Doctor Before Attempting -

This is an important one: In some cases alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous, or even fatal. This may not be necessary for you but a doctor's advice can be very helpful for you. The medical support may able to tell you what's better for you and may even help you with prescribed medicine that can help you to withdraw quicker, medical counseling can point you toward useful resources that are appropriate for your particular situation.

Don’t Give Up -

Quitting Alcohol can be long process for many peoples but don’t let yourself be discouraged. There are many other people who have succeeded using this and they had tough times too but in the end they made their way out .

The important thing is to keep going. If one option doesn’t work, start again and try another. If the process takes a while, remember you are making a major change in your life and health. Big changes take time. That is part of why, when you eventually succeed, it can feel so liberating.
