Dry mouth -

As saliva helps keep your mouth clean by removing food particles that lead to bad breath. And When the production of saliva slackens or stops, it leads to a condition  called xerostomia or  dry mouth. Dry mouth may be caused by salivary gland problems and it can be overcome by chewing sugar-free gum and sucking on sugar-free candy between meals. Sometimes bad breath is a direct result of gum disease. But it can be also caused by medicine that you consume, it can be related to  lactose intolerance or diabetes. Additionally, some medications, when broken down in the body, release chemicals that can be carried through your blood stream to your breath.

After consuming  certain foods-like onions, garlic or certain vegetables and spices, food particles enter the bloodstream and are carried to the lungs, where they affect the odor of your breath each time you exhale. You can also use warm washcloth to wipe your tongue with it.

Studies  have shown that baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate, can effectively kill bacteria in the mouth. This is because when the bicarbonate from the baking soda mixes with the bacteria's acid, it makes it neutral, and makes your mouth odourless .
